School Aged Camps

Project Week

Our credentialed educators will work closely with your child, offering personalized support to guide them through every step of their self-selected project. With individualization, students have the option of completing an already in-process service learning project in a way that benefits the natural world. By the end of the week, your child will have a finished project and have gained valuable skills, deeper knowledge, and boosted confidence in their own learning process.

This week-long opportunity takes place primarily outdoors, providing the perfect setting to facilitate your child’s sense of adventure while also setting them up for project-based academic success. Participants will engage in expeditionary learning and adventurous play and experience the grounding effects of the natural world.

Join us for a week of nature adventure and scaffolded learning!

Wayfarers Coastal Camp

Wayfarer’s Coastal Camp offers an immersive exploration of coastal ecology, guided by the Reggio Emilia approach and Forest Schooling principles. Designed for young adventurers, this camp takes campers on a thrilling journey along the coastline and into local tide pools, where they’ll document their discoveries and gain a deeper understanding of coastal ecosystems. Through hands-on activities and guided play, campers will foster curiosity, creativity, and a lasting connection to nature.

The camp will take place at beautiful locations, including the San Elijo Ecological Reserve, Glen Park, and Cardiff, each offering unique opportunities to explore and learn about coastal environments. Campers will be encouraged to observe, question, and interact with the natural world around them, capturing their findings in journals and artwork throughout the week.
